A lot of shower seals fail because the sealant was initially installed as a very thin bead. Yes it looks fancy, but silicone shrinks over time. If the seal falls below the tray to wall connection, then water will pass causing mould growth and leaks.
Yellow/orange marks on the wall next to the shower or ceiling below will begin to show. You might smell the damp forming. The longer it's left, the more likely significant and costly damage shall occur.
We remove ALL the silicone, deep clean the area and install a correct size bead using permanently flexible silicone to move woth the tray.
